It was only first night of previews so you wouldn't expect there to be any celebs there. I wonder who will be in the audience for the real opening night on 6th February.

I can't wait to see it for myself next week after hearing all your comments. I've heard mixed things about Ilse but nobody has mentioned her on here which is encouraging.
I can't wait to see what ilse looks like with red hair. Don't know how that'll be. BOHEMIAN, lol! What are the ages of the cast? These are the ones I know. Charlotte: 18 Aneurin: 21 Natasha: 18 Evelyn: 20 (I KNOW, RIGHT?!! She's SO cute!) They're all above 18 though, right? *SSB x

Lucy looks brilliant as a red head and looks gorgey with the green sailor suit on the 23rd Tom Hulce, Ira Pittlemen and Kim Grigsby were there (she sat beside me at the bar) as was Sophie Ellis Bextors Mum! lol!

Jamie Blackley is 16/17?... Give me a plane ticket to London ASAP.
No but, to end the creepy from above, I do not see either of the Jamie's honestly as that young. Lucy and Harry, however? Yes.

I don't know - my little brother has literally just turned 17 and he looks like he could be classed in the same age as the Jamies. Kids today tend to look older than they are, so I could see it, I guess.
Whether or not that actually is his age, I haven't the slightest clue.

I have a hard time buying them as 17, especially Richard. But I don't know, maybe they are.

New lines for the girls? Where was that?
And if I wanted a throwback to the Anna Touch Me reprise, I would want it to be sung by... Anna!
They have a couple of tiny new moments in the pre-MJ scene, plus new lines where they are reading Ilse's letter/talking about Wendla's death. I think that's it... At the end of Ilse reading the letter, the dialogue goes like this: "So he hasn't heard?" "How could he?" "And still, waiting for Wendla." "Poor Melchior." "Poor Wendla!" "Do you think she loved him?" "Now we'll never know."

This was in the tour, and I thought it was a good addition. I like the new lines.

I disagree... I think it ruins any possibility of surprise when Melchior finds Wendla's grave... before it was HINTED at, but now it's pretty blatantly spelled out.
I always loved hearing the little gasp from the audience members who hadn't figured it out when Melchior said, "Here lies, with God, Wendla Berg--". (also the little "oooooh" when Wendla's mother asks, "And the nausea?")

^ I'm inclined to agree, at the moment - mostly because I didn't know the story when I first saw Spring Awakening and gasped at all the relevant points! But I'm intrigued to see the new version anyway - I suppose then there's a different quality to the tension when Melchior is waiting for Wendla at the church.
Thanks for the reviews! I can't wait...

Maybe I'm just strange because the first thing that I knew about SA is that Wendla died, but I've always thought it was pretty guessable even from the dialogue they had before. Thus, I love the new dialogue.
