First time posting on TGO, but I was looking on the Fox website, and they won't be on sale for a while. "In The Heights" will be there in November, but the tickets don't go onsale until next week. I get emails from them, so I'll keep everyone updated. =]

Yeah, I'm an usher at the Fox and they still haven't told us when the tickets go on sale.  It probably won't be until January.

Who all is going to be there?  Smiley

^^^ Haha, okay, I will.  The tickets for ushers (we get super special discounts!) haven't even gone on sale yet so it may be a while.

Random general Fox Theater question just because I've never done it before there - do they do a rush? I'm not really asking for Spring Awakening. I'm actually asking about In the Heights since it'll be playing there next weekend.

Does The Fox offer student/discount tickets?

The Fox itself does not promote all of the shows that play at The Fox Theatre. To find out which shows offer discounts, contact the theatre at (404) 881-2100 to find out about the specific show of interest.

I already know what's on the website, but it doesn't say specifically for each show. That's why I am asking here because I much rather not call because they're always very rude about this kind of thing. I preferred to ask a nice usher!

EDIT:

changed the wording of the first part since it made no sense.

Paris, that made me smile.  Smiley  (see? hehe).  As far as I know we aren't doing a rush for ITH, but I'll be at the theatre tomorrow (Wednesday) so I can double check.

What day are you seeing ITH on?

I'm glad I can make you smile! Well, I was going with Stef on the 6th and 7th and I totally forgot to buy tickets/I have no money to pay for one now.

Aww that sucks!  Can't you get tickets in the gallery?  There might be some of those left, and they're only $26 if you buy them at the box office.

Has anyone else noticed that ticket prices for Atlanta are incredibly low?  Like, most-expensive-is-$37.20-low?

Why do you say you can't wait to meet everyone at Gordon Biersch?
Paris, no, we haven't gotten any info about the street team, and they don't usually start anything with street until about 2 months before the show gets here.

I figured when I reread the post above me. I was just too lazy to edit. Roll Eyes

Doesn't change the fact that Gordon Biersch is delish!

Yeah, maybe you don't want to let people know you work at the Fox so they don't pester you about rush, stage seating and such? Just a suggestion, for your own mental health in the coming months.

No one's bugged me yet, and I posted about it a little while ago.  Smiley  And I don't mind if people pester me a bit.  I'll be posting whatever I find out as soon as I can.  IMO the Fox can be pretty bad about getting information out there.

I haven't gotten anything back, but I wasn't expecting to.  The email I got had all the info in it (time, place, etc) so I'm not too worried.
