Okay... so 1. I'm a total dork/obsessive person and 2. I'm sorry if this had been previously done or is in the wrong section of everything etc. Feel free to move or delete as necessary. But I thought it would be fun for those of us who actually know the show (or parts of it) line by line to literally just type through it. Like a read-through... but typed. Haha. But we could only do one line at a time and no two posts is a row by the same person. People can post as many times as they want but just not two in a row by the same person, you know? What do you guys think? We can add songs if you want as long as its only one person's line at a time. Let me know what you guys think! Thanks! Smiley

So everyone's just supposed to break out their book and then type the next line? How's that a game?

Aww haha guys don't be rude! Smiley
Well, that's not really a game, since we can just easily look it up. Were you maybe thinking something more like someone write a quote and the next person puts who says it? Lol.

No, I guess not really a game. Just for fun. I mean it COULD be a game... I don't know! It's just a thing to do. I mean nobody has to do it if they don't want to. And I think it's fine for someone to look it up if they want to. I don't know, it's just fun for me. I enjoy it. So anybody who wants to can and if not then it's totally fine. Does that answer your questions?

(you can do the whole song because its all one person singing it. I mean we can switch whenever the character who's speaking changes. but lol yeah basically)

Okay I'll just start:

Mama who bore me
mama who gave me
no way to handle things, who made me so sad
mama the weeping
mama the angels
no sleep in heaven or bethelehem
some pray that one day
christ will come a callin
they light a candle and hope that it glows
and some just lie there cryin for him to come and find them
but when he comes they dont know how to go...
mama who bore me
mama who gave me
no way to handle things, who made me so bad
mama the weeping
mama the angels
so sleepin heaven... or bethlehem.

(Thats all wendla. Because the next line is a different character its a new person. get it?)

So this, um, "game" involves just the words, no punctuation or capitalization?

I have to congratulate you, I really didn't think it was possible to come up with something more inane than the "ABCs of Spring Awakening" nonsense.

Okay forget it. If you think it's so insane and dumb or whatever then you don't have to post, you know. If anybody wants to continue then go ahead, and if you all think its ridiculous/stupid then you need not make rude comments. Thanks.

If you don't want snarky opinions, why are you on a message board? Just saying. Ok, I'll GTFO of this thread now. Have fun.

There's no need to lock this. I agree that it's pointless, but to tell people that can't do this and lock it when it breaks no rules and is thought to be silly by a mod is wrong. If people want to do this, they have the right to do so without being made to feel stupid by a moderator.

I'm unlocking it and if any problems exist for those who want to participate, just message me.

...Wouldn't it be illegal / a violation of copyright to post the book on here? Same as with bootlegs? Just thought of that.

And Liz, I personally think This Or That (as well as its slightly less popular cousin, This Or That Broadway Edition) is infinitely more annoying than the ABC thread.
