Robi Hager is my fav Spring Awakening cast member ever! Best Georg and just wish he could have gone on for Melchior!

Caitlin's Thea annoys me.

Emily Kinney was a weak singer.

The AW and AM on the tour just shout all their lines I swear! So yeah I don't like them!

Also don't like the glasses!Thea thing.

Out of the principle Anna's, Pheobe is the only one who hasn't annoyed me.

Krysta was a better Wendla than Pheobe so why did Krysta only get to go on about 5 times?! Ahh!

Ooops, I have a lot of negatives don't I?! I'll end on a positive, OBC was just the most awesome group of people ever!

EDIT: This is such a random one but doesn't else find it very annoying that the line up in Totally Fucked does not go Girl, Boy, Girl, Boy etc, because it could!! I just think it looks uneven!

Kimiko looks completely unnatural in the role of Thea (especially with the glasses) and her voice grates on me worse than Kristen Chenoweth's. For me, looks and the right stage presence are fundamental - even if they have the best voice in the world, I still won't like em if they don't look right.

Also, Emma's DDS/BW kicks/stomps/whatever on closing night reminded me of a mule kicking the ground. That's the first thing that came to mind, and I love Emma to pieces.

I didn't read through the thread, but:

- I don't think Matt should have taken over for Hanschen. To me, it seemed like he was basically trying to be JBW playing Hanschen which caused for the character to become forgetable... which I think is kind of hard for a character like Hanschen. I love Matt- he's an amazing singer and an amazing actor but Hanschen was just not his role.

- Eryn didn't blow me away. However, I only saw her as Anna and Martha. Her Martha bored me to tears.

- While overall I didn't like Caitlin's Thea, I thought the little shocked mouth-cover thing she did after the radical line was actually pretty funny.

- I didn't like anything about Jenna (... I don't know if that's unpopular or not actually. I really didn't pay much attention to her at all).

- Blake is my favorite Ernst. I liked Gideon when I saw him but I never thought he was *OMG AMAZING* like everyone else. He definitely holds a special place in my heart, like the rest of the OBC, but when I think of Ernst I definitely always think of Blake <3

- While I liked Bashoff, I thought his Moritz was way too much like a cartoon. However, I may be a little biased since when I saw him I was still pretty upset about Johnny leaving. I think I may have been looking for something to hate.

- Johnny's Moritz and Gerard's Moritz are almost completely tied for favorite with me. Johnny's is probably a bit higher up since he was the original but I am in love with Gerard's Moritz.

-I never thought Lea's acting was bad. And her singing voice is phenomenal. I never understood everyone's problem with her. I also thought that Socha was amazing, though. Not the strongest singer but her acting was almost perfect.

- I thought Emma was the best Ilse. I loved her voice and most of the time her choices in BW were spot on for me. Of course I didn't see her all the time, but of the times that I did I absolutely loved what she did with the role.
...
Ok, that's enough for now. I'm sure I'll think of more later. Haha.

Gid's TM solo > Blake's TM solo. They both sounded beautiful, but Gideon's was more... sensual, is the only word I can think of which makes me sound like a creeper. Blake's was just *so* angelic. Both very fierce voices though.

The OBC MWBM:Reprise is the only Reprise that counts. That is all.

And I love Lea Michele, but you all know that already.

Eryn's Wendla is highly overrated. The girl was just okay, she was NOT great. Her singing voice is lovely, but her acting was pretty bad as Wendla.

I thought Eryn's Wendla was fantastic and she exceeded my expectations. I thought I would lime her, but feel like Ilse was playing Wendla and I was so wrong. She was amazing.

My thing about Eryn is that she sounds great on slow, low lines...any time she starts to sing fast she gets shouty and nasally.

I thought Lea was super sweet at the stage door.

I actually really love Emily Kinney, but part of me thinks that love is a result of her blog, not her actual performance.

I did not like Sarah Hunt's Martha, like, at all.

Gideon's voice sounds like nails on a chalkboard, but I never saw him live so I probably shouldn't judge.

I actually kind of like that Bashoff plays Moritz for laughs. His facial expressions were some of my favorite parts of the show when I saw it for the first time.

Emily has a lovely voice, but didn't really get the chance to show it in Spring Awakening.  I was pretty wowed when she did that concert with Morgan.

I honestly do not remember a thing about Emily, Caitlin, and Amandas portrayals of their characters. They were all completely forgettable.
I love Andrew & Gabe as George and Otto. I am not sure if that is unpopular.
I don't remember a thing about Matts Hanschen either which is sad since he is an incredible singer and actor.
Groff is still my favorite Melchior, but I am a bit biased.
Gerard>Blake B>Johnny as Moritz.

I absolutely remember nothing about her performance. As far as I'm concerned, at the show I went to with the new cast there was no Martha.

As for Emily, I didn't really get a feel for her as Anna. Although, I never really pay much attention to Anna. I love her, though. However, that may just be because I love reading her blog.

My list, from what I saw, would go Hunter, Matt D, Groff, Jesse, Kyle. I even loved Kyle, though. So it's a tough list.

I've only seen Groff and Hunter and I loved them both. I really, truly thought Hunter was a great Melchior. I don't understand the hate.
And of course I love Groff. Looking back, some of his choices were a little strange and sometimes funny, but how can you not love him?
It's hard for me to say anything bad about the OBC. They were all phenomenal.

I did not like Eryn.  At all.  I don't get why some people think of her as some type of demigod.  I only ever got to see her Martha live, but there are people I've never seen live who I still manage to endlessly adore.  She isn't one of them.

Her Martha was a giant epic fail.  Her Ilse, on the other hand, was a stroke of genius.

Has anyone ever noticed that Eryn and Phoebe have die hard fans, and those that hate them say the fans treat them like gods and think they can do no wrong, but Krysta is really the first female to get a huge following, yet other than people who only saw her as Anna via unmentionables, no one bitches about her and her fans. I think that is proof that Krysta>>>>>>everyone else. Wink

I don't think Krysta's fans are as prominent, I guess, as the other two girls'. Also, she left SA along time ago. But yeah, Krysta is amazing and her Martha was one of my favorite performances ever in the show.

Krysta is a goddess.  She was not my favorite in any role, but she gave a consistent performance.  I never was like "her xxxx is amazing, but her xxxx is crap."  She is always "good".

And I am still her original fan boy.

I don't like Christine Estabrook AT ALL. She may have been good towards the beginning, but as time went on, she just started over acting EVERYTHING. Yes, the stork scene is funny. But she took that a little to far, and I think it was really distracted.
