We really have no way of knowing how or when they'll conduct auditions for the non-Equity tour. We don't even know when it's starting.

I'm sure more information will be shared here as soon as it becomes publicly available, but at this point we're pretty much just guessing.

Oh. Damn. I got confused because she said that there was going to be "another leg" so I thought she meant another leg of the Equity Tour. Thanks for clearing that up.

sorry, the words there are tricky. There will be a third leg of *a* Spring Awakening tour, just probably not with the same cast. I think it's all but officially announced that the tour will be through NETworks next season, and will most likely be non-Equity.

Here's the official word on the Non-Equity tour:

http://www.playbill.com/news/article/137799-Spring-Awakening-US-Tour-to-Conclude-May-23-Non-Equity-Tour-to-Follow

Spring Awakening U.S. Tour to Conclude May 23; Non-Equity Tour to Follow
By Adam Hetrick
12 Mar 2010

The current national tour of the Tony Award-winning musical Spring Awakening will conclude following its May engagement at the Carr Performing Arts Center in Orlando, FL.

Representatives confirmed that the tour, which launched at San Francisco's Curran Theatre Sept. 4, 2008, would end in Orlando May 23. The rock musical currently plays Atlanta's Fox Theatre through March 14.

Though the first national tour will close, Spring Awakening will continue to bloom in a non-equity tour produced by NETworks Presentations. Tour itinerary and a launch date for the non-equity run have not been announced.

Based on the 1891 play by Frank Wedekind, Spring Awakening won eight 2007 Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Spring Awakening features direction by Michael Mayer, choreography by Bill T. Jones, book and lyrics by Steven Sater and a score by Duncan Sheik.

The current tour features Jake Epstein as Melchior, Christy Altomare as Wendla and Taylor Trensch as Moritz.

The remainder of the Spring Awakening tour follows:

Greenville, SC (March 16-21 at the Peace Center)
Dallas, TX (March 23-April 4 at the AT&T PAC)
Detroit, MI (April 19-May 9 at the Fisher Theatre)
Miami, FL (May 11-16 at the Arsht Center)
Orlando, FL (May 18-23 at the Carr PAC)

So, I saw on the website of the Pantages theatre that Spring Awakening is coming to LA again in February 2011. So I was wondering if anyone had any information or knows anything about it? And when are they going to annouce it? And tour dates? If the theatre already has it on their website, and knows when they are coming, does anyone know all the other tour dates? THANKS! Smiley
OH! And how can I get onstage seats before they go on sale to the public/ get sold out?

As for stage seats, wait and see. It's still 11 months away.

It means that the performers will not be members of AEA.

It's been discussed rather heavily on both this thread and the general cast thread.

Side note, they called it "Spring Awakening - Broadway Plus."  Hmm?

Just so he doesn't have to send an email out like this a bunch of times, I wrote Pun asking about street teams for the new tour stops, and he said that since it's non union that they may not have a street team, or at least they haven't been hired to coordinate it yet.

Bwayfan and Gabrielle - Glad to see other fans do exist in Tucson! I live really close to the theatre, I'm so pumped it's coming! Maybe I'll see you there.

It'll be at TPAC in February.

Also, who are the two people in the image they are promoting the tour with?

Just. . . WTF to the people in the picture. They look like amateur porn stars trying to copy Jon and Lea's already awkward pose. This does not bode well for the non-eq tour. . .
