This is the first review i have ever written so sorry if its horrible  Undecided

So I am sure most of you know but tonight was the first show that the newbies (Taylor, Kayla, Ben F, and John ) were in.

This was my 11th time seeing the show, 7th time seeing the tour.

ACT 1

Mama Who Bore Me - Incredible! Christy Altomare gets better and better every single time! Her voice is incredible, as is her acting. The scene following was funny as always. Angela and Christy do very well together.

Mama Who Bore Me Reprise - I love when Christy says Mama! because I know that this song is coming! The girls never seize to amaze me. So much energy.

All That's Known - Jake is getting better and better! reminds me more of Groff every time yet still showing his own take on the role. His vocals were great!

Bitch Of Living - There was so much energy during this one! Taylor was great! I cannot believe it was his first show! All of the boys do so well with one another.

My Junk - Matt did his one hand clap! yay! Andy and him were hilarious as usual.   Once again, a lot of energy. seems the whole show was like that!

Touch me - One of my favorite songs so I always get excited when it comes along. Jake and Taylor work really well together. Ben's solo was great! as were Lucas' and Matt's.

Word of Your Body - The chemistry between Christy and Jake is so real. Their vocals go very well with one another's.

Dark I Know Well - Steffi and Sarah were incredible as always. Not much to say...always perfect.

And Then There Were None - I was very excited to see what Taylor could do during this one! he rocked the song out and did very well!

Mirror Blue Night - it was good. same as always.

I believe - perfect.

ACT 2

The Guilty Ones - once again Christy and Jake do so well with one another.

Don't Do Sadness/ Blue Wind - Ahh! Taylor was soo good! Steffi is always incredible. the scene in between was really good...vocals were great! they did really well Smiley

Left Behind - Jake's vocals have gotten so much stronger since the first time I saw him. Glad to see what he has done with the role in just a month!

Totally Fucked - Perfect! Great Great Great energy, Lucas did Anthony's little cartwheel Smiley not much to say about it because its always great!

Word of Your Body Reprise - Ben (F) and Andy were hilarious! Ben's facial expressions were great!

Whispering - The new addition to whispering has grown a lot on me. I couldn't hear Jake very well in the beginning (The first Touch Me) but it got better. Christy was amazing.

Those You've Known - All three of them do really well together. Taylor was so good!

Song of Purple Summer - AHH! Taylor looked so happy to be there! It was so cute! Steffi's solo was great as always.

OK. well that review pretty much sucked but it gives you an idea of how it went...it went really well that is.
Taylor, Ben, Kayla, and John were all great. I can't wait to see what they are able to do with the roles! I still can't believe that it was only their first time doing it in front of an actual audience! Seeing them again tomorrow...well today actually...very excited!

I'll jump in about Taylor's suicide. It was insanely good. The first "so dark" was quiet, barely audible. After that, he stared at the gun for a short time, breaking down in genuine sobs. He paused and created a very dramatic moment. Taylor got louder with each "so dark" and really blew me away. I wanted to start applauding.

That's great to hear! Thank you! Smiley I'm excited to see him, now... What about the scene where he tells his father he failed? I'm really curious about how Taylor with his scenes.

Edit: Also, how did he play Moritz? I mean was he cartoonish, like Johnny and Blake? Or more realistic, like Brian and Gerard?

Nope, Justin wasn't there at all. I don't think he'll start rehearsals until later September.

Taylor was a combo of many versions of Moritz. At least that's how I saw him. He was more serious during "Don't Do Sadness," and didn't use a cartoonish voice. He has a deeper quality to his singing as well. I'm so glad to have seen his first show.

I saw the Saturday matinee and I must say the "I failed" scene was shockingly good. I'm sure you know the slaps are back in. It was so powerful. John, the Adult Man, really stood out for me here. He showed absolutely no compassion for Moritz. He didn't yell, he just spoke matter-of-factly because he hated his son so much. Taylor broke down and it was the perfect launch into ATTWN.

And as far as his overall performance goes, I agree with Brainless. He's a mix of previous Moritz actors. He looks like Iwan, he acts kind of like JGJ and Gerard but he sings differently than anyone else.

Thank you for answering my questions! I'm really excited to see them now. Smiley One more question, I swear! Tongue How was John's crying in Left Behind? Please don't tell me he pulled a Glenn...

^ Yeah, it's incredible when they don't. He didn't in London, and it was EMOTIONALLY TORMENTING ME, but then he did on tour, and I was like "meh"...

thanks so much!!
i just have one quick question..
how was taylor's singing voice? like in comparison to the others. because i melt whenever i hear blake's voice just because its sooo (oh god now i'm gonna fail at describing blake's voice but here i go) idk it just has that quality that could be breathy but its not its just really dreamy. idk like when he first sings his touch me solo its really dreamlike and lighter than any of the other moritz's i've heard.

like i said, fail. sorry if that made no sense.

long story short who's voice is taylors most similar to?

Taylor's voice is less nasal/pop than Blake's and more angsty/rock. It's hard to compare him to any previous Moritz. And that's what I like about all of the actors who have played Moritz...they're extremely unique.

I LOVE Ben Moss. I think he can do no wrong. In my opinion, Ben F. has a stronger voice and I thought he was more natural in the scene. But to end on a trivial note, Ben Moss makes a cuter Ernst.
