The Maked Man should be in the movie. Ellen Degeneres as The Masked Man. Think about it.

I don't think that that same movie that McG is directing... because, well, that one hasn't even start pre-production.

I don't think it's necessarily a fake. My guess is that it's a very low-budget filmed version of the play.

It isn't a fake. It's a real movie, but it has nothing to do with the musical and McG. It's based on the play. It even says so on the top right corner.
I don't think it looks that bad? Sure the website could be a lot more professional, but I guess they're doing the best they can all things considered.

Obviously, it's not the real movie! How could they make the real movie without having us approve of the cast first?

"It's coming together very soon," Sater said, anticipating that the Spring Awakening film would begin production in the fall, or at the latest, next spring. He added, "We need a lot of exteriors. We're going to shoot this on location either in Germany, Hungary, Budapest or Prague."
whew.

Interesting that they've composed a new song for the movie... though not terribly surprising, as the songs that were in the Broadway production would not be eligible for either Academy Award or Grammy nominations from the movie's soundtrack.

I'm so glad this will be shot in Europe. If they go to Budapest there should be a disco cube. Just saying.

"Sater and Sheik have also penned a new song for the film, Sater told Playbill.com."
