Hey Nancy.  I finally got my comment to go through on my favorite song so hopefully someone will tell me the name of it!

I approved the comment, so hopefully the mystery will be solved soon Grin

My husband's favorite song is the first one of her set.  I can't decide which is my favorite.  There are definitely a few that I can't get out of my head.

compress them on a mac by control clicking and clicking compress, it makes it into a zip file.

Thanks for the audio!  I went to the Wilmington show last night and it was phenomenal.  I'm really excited for the Whisper House show.

EDIT: Oh, and Mama & Papa Gallagher were there and were incredibly sweet as always.  And, Keith Powell from 30 Rock was talking to them after the show.

a question for those of you who've gone to one of Duncan's shows already - how far in advance did you buy your tickets? he won't be in my area until March, and i'd like to wait until closer to the date to buy tickets because my bank account is pretty shabby at the moment, but i don't want them to sell out! sorry, i tend to be paranoid about these things Tongue

^^ we got ours the day before and they were only $20.00, I believe.  Of course, this was in Atlanta, at a really small venue.  It will be worth it if you go, they were both incredible.

I bought our tickets a month or so before the show. They were $25 each I think. The show wasn't anywhere near sold out in Charleston!! Duncan even made a joke about the poor turnout.

i just bought tickets for my friend and i to see them on March 8th in Ann Arbor, Michigan! Smiley
soooooo pumped!

question for anyone who has gone and done general admission... how early did you get there before hand in order to get a good spot up front?  past concerts i've gone to have required hours of waiting outside for a good standing room spot and i was just starting to think about what time we want to get there so we're not way in the back.

When I went to the Duncan/Lauren show in Wilmington, Johnny's mom said he had told them he wouldn't be touring with them pretty much from the beginning, but they put his name on the information and made him look bad when he didn't end up being there.  So, from that, I'm not sure he'll ever join this tour, as much as I would want him to.

Hey has anyone seen Duncan Sheik in concert? I'm seeing him soon, and I was just wondering about the contents and stuff. I know he is touring with Lauren Pritchard (yay) so I didn't know like how much SA stuff he does...
Or if anyone knows if he does any sort of meet and greet after the show or autographs...same with Lauren.
Any info would be nice =)

I saw them on Monday. Although it's advertised as Lauren opening the show, it's actually her and some of Duncan's band members (including Holly Brook and Ben Kalb), and they switch off songs. So Lauren actually only played three of her original songs. I was kind of bummed about that. :\

Then Duncan's part of the show starts with um.. various Duncan songs (sorry, I'm not that familiar with his solo stuff). Then Lauren came back out and they played:

Mama Who Bore Me
Touch Me
The Dark I Know Well
Don't Do Sadness/Blue Wind

Then Duncan and his band played a set of songs from Whisper House.

After the show, it's pretty weird, but we met him in the parking lot while standing by my car talking. He just walked by and we asked him if he would mind coming over and signing some stuff. So he came over and we stood by my car talking, just the three of us. He is incredibly nice.

Then we walked over to the tour bus to wait for Lauren, and Duncan came over and signed stuff for people there, too. Everyone else left after he signed their stuff, so my friend and I were the only people waiting for Lauren. She signed stuff for us and took pictures and was really cool.

Oh and for the question above about general admission... my friend and I just got there when doors opened and were able to get seats right in the front row.

And just because I want to show it off Wink
